The Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) welcomed representatives from the Canada–ASEAN Business Council (CABC) and a delegation comprising key Canadian provinces, namely Ontario, Quebec and Alberta, for an engagement held at the SCCI Office on 22 June 2026. 

The delegation outlined plans for a dedicated exploratory business mission to Sarawak, aimed at deepening understanding of the region's economic landscape and amplifying Sarawak’s profile among their member companies across Canada.

Discussions highlighted strong potential for collaboration between Sarawak and Canada, particularly in view of shared strengths and synergies across key sectors, with a possible return visit in September for a business networking session with SBF members.
